Under Host Properties - Network appears as greyed-out

Issue

  • We are able to provision VM's however we are facing issues in trying to work with Networks/VLAN tagging for the VM's when using custom provisioning workflow. While troubleshooting we noticed that under Infrastructure>Host under Properties pane - the Networks section is greyed-out. On further investigation we saw that in the vmdb_production database tables like "switches" and "lans" are empty.We have a single cluster as provider with 2 hosts running ESXi 5.5 which we are using for testing.

  • Where does Cloudforms list of the available port groups in the VMware distributed Switches??
