Why does automatic SSH login from localhost ?

Issue

  • Noticed bulk SSH login from 12.0.0.1
[root@server]# last | grep less
root     pts/1       hostname  Sun Jan  4 07:00 - 07:00  (00:00)
root     pts/2      hostname  Sun Jan  4 07:00 - 07:00  (00:00)
root     pts/1       hostname  Sun Jan  4 07:00 - 07:00  (00:00)
root     pts/4      hostname  Sun Jan  4 07:00 - 07:00  (00:00)
root     pts/2      hostname  Sun Jan  4 07:00 - 07:00  (00:00)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • openssh-server-5.3p1-84.1.el6.x86_64
  • arch-x86_64
