Issue

We are using JBoss Fuse 6.0 and we create multiple Karaf child containers in our application. We also use a script to monitor health of these containers. It invokes "admin:list" command quite frequently.

We found that sometimes our Karaf child containers stopped processing and there was no way to restart them. Further analysis showed that the instance.properties file was empty but nobody had touched it. It looks like that the file was corrupted for some reason.
