Can I share printer definitions between RHEL and Solaris using LDAP?
Issue
We would like to know how to configure a RHEL client to look for printer configuration in LDAP. We are running CUPS in the RHEL client and we have enabled all Solaris clients to look for printers in LDAP.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS)
- Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server
- Solaris printing system with information stored in LDAP
