scp fails with "Transport endpoint is not connected" when copying to a gluster filesystem

Issue

  • We get error message when we try to copy files to glusterfs volume
  • Please see below when we try to copy we get following error message " Transport endpoint is not connected".
# scp test.txt hostname:/pathname/
test.txt                                                                                                                                           100%  392     0.4KB/s   00:00
scp: /pathname/test.txt: Transport endpoint is not connected

Environment

  • Red Hat Storage Server 3.0
  • Gluster
