Issue
rsync failed with the Error : "No space left on device (28)"
There's enough free space and free inodes in the file system but still not able to create file in that file system.
#df -i .
Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
/dev/vx/dsk/testdg/testvol 9175040 4762802 4412238 52% /testvol
#df -h .
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/vx/dsk/testdg/testvol 138G 49G 82G 38% /testvol
rsync: mkstemp "/testvol/www/gcom/apache2/htdocs/images/products/250x250/.4KB42_AS01.JPG.yQh5cv" failed: No space left on device (28)
###This file system was created as an ext4 file system with a 1k blockize
# mkfs -t ext4 -b 1024 /dev/vx/dsk/testdg/testvol
If using a filesystem block less than 4KB then reformatting the filesystem to use a 4KB block size will allow for more entries per directory.
