Satellite 5.6 upgrade fails with invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8"

Issue

  • Satellite 5.4.1 upgrade to Satellite 5.6 fails with the following error:
psql:<stdin>:46019239: ERROR:  invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xeda080
HINT:  This error can also happen if the byte sequence does not match the encoding expected by the server, which is controlled by "client_encoding".
CONTEXT:  COPY rhnpackagechangelogdata, line 128207
SIGPIPE received.
  • Migration of rhnPackageChangeLog table to rhnPackageChangeLogData and rhnPackageChangeLogRec fails due to non UTF-8 characters.
