Feature Request for anaconda warning popup message for LDL formatted disks

Environment

Issue

  • When anaconda is provided CMS formatted disks with LDL low level format, anaconda shall recognize them out and shall warn about that. A simple message will be good.
  • Red Hat only supports the CDL low level formatted disks in zlinux.
  • The LDL formatted disks create problem during installation. kernel detects them and there partitions, whereas anaconda can't detect them.
  • It will be good if anaconda pop up a message with the help of dasdview output and state that there are few underlying disks with LDL format for informational purpose.

Resolution

  • The feature request has been completed with Errata RHBA-2015-1297 which is a part of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7
  • This feature is available from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 and 7.2 too!
