Thin Provisioned VMs created in RHEV 3.4 on RHEL 7 hypervisors cannot run on a RHEL 6 hypervisor

Issue

  • When a Virtual Machine is created using a RHEL 7 hypervisor in RHEV 3.4, it cannot run on RHEL 6 based hypervisors.
  • Virtual machines created with a RAW disk image and have snapshots created by a RHEL 7 hypervisor cannot run on RHEL6 based hypervisors

Note RHEL 7 hosts/hypervisors are only Tech Preview in RHEV 3.4, but are fully supported in RHEV 3.5.
