Environment

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0
• IBM Power p270 Compute Node

Issue

• kdump does not work by default in RHEL 7.0 on IBM Power p270 Compute Node. Changes are needed to enable kdump to work correctly on this server.

Resolution

• Update the RHEL 7.0 kexec-tools to kexec-tools-2.0.4-32.el7 or newer.
• Restart kdump
