Why drop_caches file is missing on RHEL 4 systems?
Issue
- Need to clear the memory cache on server but not able to do that because the drop cache file is not present in
/proc/sys/vm/directory.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.6 and earlier
- kernel versions older than 2.6.9-67
