Creating a new Fuse project based on camel-archetype-activemq archetype fails to deploy on Fuse

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

We can creat a new Fuse project based on camel-archetype-activemq archetype but fails to deploy on Fuse.

The steps as below:
In JBDS, select new project. Select Fuse, pick camel-archetype-activemq leave defaults, click finish. This creates a sample fuse project. Then run mvn clean install in the project directory.

When I try to deploy this in Fuse shell by running below command then get exception.
osgi:install -s mvn:com.mycompany/camel-activemq/1.0.0-SNAPSHOT

If RedHat ship JBDS 7.1.1 and Fuse 6.1 then when people create Fuse projects with JBDS 7.1.1 with various Maven archetypes available from JBDS, then those projects should out of the box be deployable on Fuse. At the moment some of them are not (i.e camel-archetype-activemq). I have not checked other archetypes.

This to me is a bug. It is not an urgent or a mission critical bug, but it leaves a bad developer experience.

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Fuse 6.1.0
