Fabric JAAS realm does not cache

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

When integrating JBoss Fuse with Active Directory, we have found that performance is impacted.
Our AD is quite slow at the moment, and we have found this impacts HAWTIO/JOLOKIA particularly and makes Hawtio especially unusable. It crashes out when trying to do simple inspection of Camel or AMQ.
DEBUG logging indicates that Hawtio is using Jolokia when looking at child containers. It also appears that jolokia is authenticating fro every request, making the performance poor/unusable.
Our JAAS config has both LDAP and Zookeeping modules installed, users defined in Zookeeper perform fine, users in LDAP are barely usable/not usable.
Can credential caching be configured in Karaf/Jaas/Fabric/Jolokia?
