"iSCSI Multipathing" doesn't work when using two or more local interfaces in the same subnet

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I have an iSCSI Storage Domain with one target IP. Then I configured the "iSCSI Multipathing" with eth1 and eth2.
  • However, from the moment I shutdown my eth1 on the switch to simulate a path failure, the Cluster goes down because it can't connect to the storage anymore.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.4 and 3.5.0.
  • Hypervisor with 3 interfaces, eth0(rhevm), eth1(MP1), eth2(MP2).
  • MP1 and MP2 are two non-required Logical Networks used to reach iSCSI Storage.
  • eth1 and eth2 with IPs in same subnet.
  • One iSCSI target IP.
