Why do I see resources being stopped and sometimes failing to be stopped when rgmanager starts in RHEL 5 or 6?
Issue
- Why are resources being stopped when rgmanager starts?
- Why does rgmanager initialize resources when starting?
- Why does node 1 attempt to locally stop a service that's running on node 2?
- rgmanager on node 1 attempts to stop the service that's mounted on node 2 while starting, and fails
Apr 24 22:38:21 node2 rgmanager[6216]: stop on fs "myFS" returned 2 (invalid argument(s))
- When I boot a node, I see resource stop errors in the logs
Feb 15 22:49:02 rgmanager [fs] /dev/sdb is not mounted
Feb 15 22:49:02 rgmanager [fs] stop: Could not match /dev/vg/lv with a real device
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
- rgmanager
