Unable to add Storage Domain to LUN previously used as Export Domain

Issue

We have a LUN presented to our RHEV hypervisors. The LUN appears in multipath -ll. It has previously has an existing Export Domain on it.

I have removed the Export Domain via the RHEV-M interface but am unable to re-present it as a Storage Domain. However I can re-present it as the exact same Export domain.

Note: This also applies for changing a pre-existing Storage Domain into an Export Domain.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 2.2
  • FC or ISCSI Storage Domain or Export Domain
