Why doesn't my volume group activate at boot, but can be activated manually?
Issue
- Volume Group comprised of multiple PV's attached via
multipathfrom does not activate at boot
After booting, the volume can be activated withvgchange -ay <VG>
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- SAN storage with paths aggregated by
device-mapper-multipath - LVM with Physical Volumes on multiple SAN LUNs
