Issue

• Currently on Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5, it is not possible to connect cloned child channels to different base channels.
• An internal company policy prohibts the root-login with a simple password authentication. Therefore we have to roll out the ssh-keys of our system engineers on all machines. Currently we do this by creating a RPM file containing the authorized_keys file and we update these in every single channel on the satellite server. Unfortunately there is no way to build something like a single "Security Channel" for all systems, which creates a huge administrative overhead after adding e.g. one key to the RPM.
• Managing the same set of no-arch packages for two different base channels is an administrative headache.
