After updating server, Apache (httpd) applications stopped working.

Issue

  • We are seeing the following error when starting httpd
    • The only changes made to the environment were done during a yum update.
# service httpd start
Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 222 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 4 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/subversion.conf: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_authz_svn_crowd.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_authz_svn_crowd.so: undefined symbol: svn_fspath__canonicalize
