Call to free(3), raise, or strndup(3) cores process

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

Application compiled on RHEL 6 crashes on calls to free(), raise, and strndup(3). This happens on multiple nodes running the same application, processing the same data. It may only happen under heavy load.

Running valgrind with memcheck shows no issues, indicating a possible race condition.

The application was previously compiled on RHEL 5 and had no issues.
