After upgrading to RHEV 3.2, existing pooled VMs are always prompted to reboot or display a "Failed to attach User" error

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After upgrading to RHEV 3.2, every time Windows 7 VMs boot, they are now prompted to reboot to apply changes. This is now happening to ALL existing Pooled VMs. This also happens to all Windows 7 stateless VM guests.
  • Some VMs are showing the following error and, at some point after that, VM status is not getting updated:

Failed to attach User user@domain.example.com to VM from VM Pool VMName (User: testuser)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager (RHEV-M) 3.2.3-0.43
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor release 6.4 (20130912.1.el6_4)
  • Data Center Compatibility version 3.2
