Are there password restrictions on the ricci agent on RHEL 5 and RHEL 6?

Issue

  • The cluster.conf file changes are not getting propagated through luci and the below ricci errors are seen.
  • When the cluster.conf is edited manually on one node, file is not getting propagated and the below errors are seen:
[root@node1 ~]# ccs_sync 
You have not authenticated to the ricci daemon on node1
Password: 
You have not authenticated to the ricci daemon on node3
Password: 
You have not authenticated to the ricci daemon on node2
Password: 
The connection to node1 died unexpectedly
The connection to node2 died unexpectedly
The connection to node3 died unexpectedly
  • When running ccs commands the following error is presented:
root@localhost ~]# ccs -h localhost --lsnodes
localhost password: 
Error: no ricci tag in ricci response
