[JON] Purged agent plug-ins never get removed when their name is similar to plug-ins that are still installed

Updated 2013-12-19T10:07:36+00:00

Issue

  • I have two plug-ins that just will not purge.

  • The purge action has been invoked for one or more deleted agent plug-ins

  • The agent plug-ins marked for purge have names similar to plug-ins which are still enabled

    • Attempting to purge JBassAS plug-in while JBossAS5 plug-in is still enabled
    • Attempting to purge JBossCache plug-in while JBossCache3 plug-in is still enabled
  • Server log shows the following message but the plug-ins are never removed from agent plug-in list:

INFO [org.rhq.enterprise.gui.coregui.server.gwt.PluginGWTServiceImpl] Preparing to purge agent plugins: [JBoss Application Server, JBossCache 2.x Services]. This may take a few minutes since all type definitions from the plugins must first be purged from the system. The plugins will still be visible until they have been purged. Please note that you must not re-install the plugin while the purge is running, as this is going to fail. Wait for re-add until the purge is done.

  • Purged agent plug-ins continue to remain in agent plug-ins list

Environment
