25.3.3. Asignar subcanales y nombres de dispositivos de red
La opción
DEVICE= en el archivo ifcfg no determina la asignación de subcanales a nombres de dispositivo de red. En su lugar, el archivo de reglas udev /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules determina qué canal de dispositivo de red obtiene el nombre de dispositivo de red determinado.
Al configurar un nuevo dispositivo de red en System z, el sistema automáticamente añade una nueva regla a ese archivo y asigna el siguiente nombre de dispositivo no utilizado. Puede editar luego los valores asignados a la variable
NAME= para cada dispositivo.
