Why does my video change when I enable Virtage hardware partitioning?

Environment

Virtage hardware partitioning feature enabled on Hitachi BladeSymphony(Hitachi Compute Blade) Servers.

Resolution

The Guest OS only uses Hitachi Virtual VGA Device. Only the Virtage hardware partitioner uses the physical video device (Server Engine Pilot 2 (MGA G200e) on the BladeSymphony(Hitachi Compute Blade) 2000, MGA G200eR2 on the BladeSymphony(Hitachi Compute Blade) 500 and XGI Z9s on the BladeSymphony(Hitachi Compute Blade) 320). If the customer uses a KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch with assignment of USB 1.1 to a LPAR, Virtage hypervisor copies video image of Hitachi Virtual VGA Device of the LPAR to the physical device.

* "Virtage" is a trademark for Hitachi's hardware partitioning system. This trademark is only used in the United States and Japan.
