CVE-2025-38230
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's JFS filesystem. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by mounting a specially crafted JFS filesystem with malformed parameters. This could lead to a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). The improper validation of these parameters could also lead to undefined behavior, potentially allowing for more severe impacts.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options do not meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base, or stability.
