NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT returned when attempting to mount CIFS share

Issue

  • CIFS share returns 'Permission Denied' when trying to mount, the /var/log/messages file shows the following error:
Jan 01 00:00:00 server kernel: Status code returned 0xc0000234 NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT
  • AD user password change throws the error NT_STATUS_ACCOUNT_LOCKED_OUT.

  • SMB/CIFS
