Unencrypted private keys are insecure. The selected private key does not appear to be protected by a password.

Issue

  • 802.1x password certificate not being recognized by Network Manager gui
  • I provide the Private Key Password, but the systems says the key is not encrypted, and the apply button is not selectable.
  • The NetworkManager gui shows: "Unencrypted private keys are insecure. The selected private key does not appear to be protected by a password. This could allow your security credentials to be compromised. Please select a password-protected private key.(You can password-protect your private key with openssl)" even the private key is encrypted.
