JWS 5 warns about libapr-1.so.0 on RHEL 8

Issue

  • We installed JWS tomcat on RHEL 8 and at start up see a warning like below:
WARNING [main] org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener.init The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library failed to load. The error reported was [/path/to/jws-5.3/tomcat/lib/libtcnative-1.so.0.2.23: libapr-1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]
