SAN removing a cached path to storage

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

We have zoned a new path to storage. Multipath sees the storage, but the old luns (scsi devices) are still there.

pci-0000:06:00.0-fc-0x50060e8016029305:0x0000000000000000 -> ../../sda

pci-0000:06:00.0-fc-0x50060e8016029335:0x0000000000000000 -> ../../sdy

pci-0000:06:00.1-fc-0x50060e8016029315:0x0000000000000000 -> ../../sdm

I want to remove the top mapping. I have tried rescan-scsi bus with no success.

Do we need to reboot or is there a way to removed this cached path?
