Apache httpd failed to load SiteMinder module libmod_sm22.so

Issue

• I am trying to load SiteMinder module in RHEL 6 but it fails and displays the following error:

httpd: Syntax error on line 147 of /app/ebx/jboss-ews-2.0/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /app/app1/wem/CA/webagent/bin/libmod_sm22.so into server: libsmerrlog.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

• The httpd service is failing in RHEL6 with the following error messages.

Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 150 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /home/apache/CA/webagent/bin/libmod_sm22.so into server: libsmerrlog.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
