Does Red Hat support the MVAPICH or MVAPICH2 Message Passing Interface (MPI) software stack?

MVAPICH (pronounced as “em-vah-pich”) is an open-source MPI software used to exploit the novel features and mechanisms of InfiniBand and to deliver performance and scalability to MPI applications. This software has been steadily gaining acceptance in the High Performance Computing HPC and InfiniBand communities.

These stacks are not supported nor will they be included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.5 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. However, support for MVAPICH2 is anticipated in future updates of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5.
