Issue

  • sudo su - fails with error "unable to dlopen /usr/libexec/sudoers.so: (null)"
# sudo su -
sudo: unable to dlopen /usr/libexec/sudoers.so: (null)
sudo: fatal error, unable to load plugins
  • Yum commands fails with error " /usr/lib64/libssl3.so: version `NSS_3.14' not found (required by /lib64/libldap-2.4.so.2) "
 # yum list
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:

/usr/lib64/libssl3.so: version `NSS_3.14' not found (required by /lib64/libldap-2.4.so.2)

Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.

It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.6.6 (r266:84292, Sep 12 2011, 14:03:14)
[GCC 4.4.5 20110214 (Red Hat 4.4.5-6)]

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2
  • sudo
