LogForwarding endpoint must be an node name or FQDN, not an IP address

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I have a cluster-wide proxy and I'm using LogForwarding where the endpoint is an IP Address and it doesn't work
  • Fluentd is using the proxy to reach the endpoint when I have defined in the no_proxy definition that it doesn't use it
  • LogForwarding endpoint must be a node name or FQDN, not an IP address

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform 4.3
  • Log Forwarding feature
