Support Policy for Uncertified Systems and Configurations

Updated -

Red Hat's hardware certification program provides a formal means for hardware vendors to work with Red Hat to establish official support for their platforms. Red Hat additionally publishes supported limits which reflect the current state of system testing by Red Hat and its partners. If system-specific limits greater than the supported limits have been established after joint testing, they will be noted in the system's specific entry in the Red Hat Hardware Catalog.

Customers calling Red Hat Support who are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux on systems which have not been certified, or have been configured outside the supported limits, will be provided with assistance regarding generic issues. If issues cannot be reproduced or resolved on certified hardware platforms after commercially reasonable efforts, or if issues are specific to that hardware platform or configuration (such as performance tuning) Red Hat Support will request that customers use a certified hardware platform or contact their hardware vendor to receive assistance.
