Opening a rpm file via nautilus causes "Sorry, something went wrong" error in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Issue

• When I tried to open a rpm file with double-click on Files, which is the file manager on GNOME, the rpm installation on GUI failed with "Sorry, something went wrong".
• The following errors were output on /var/log/messages.

gnome-software-service.desktop: XX:XX:XX:XXXX Gs  failed to call gs_plugin_file_to_app on packagekit-local: failed to get files local: GetFilesLocal not supported by backend
gnome-software-service.desktop: XX:XX:XX:XXXX Gs  failed to convert to GsApp: no application was created for /root/XXXXXX.rpm

• This happens with a third party rpm file only.
• The installation with yum command works without any problem.
