Copying a read-only file to a NFS share fails with a Read-only filesystem error
Issue
- Copying a file with read-only permissions, i.e; r-- , to a NetApp NFS share fails with the below error :
# cp /var/log/audit/audit.log.4 /nfs/test
cp: failed to close ‘/nfs/test/audit.log.4’: Read-only file system
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- NetApp NFS server
