How can non-ELS RHEL3 users get the new CA SSL certificate?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The old Red Hat Network (RHN Classic) CA SSL certificate is expired in August 2013.
  • So the new RHN CA SSL certificate is released as an errata.

  • However, the new CA SSL certificate is released for only ELS channel in RHEL3, so the non-ELS RHEL3 users cannot apply the new CA SSL certificate and cannot apply the errata by using up2date after expiration of old CA SSL certificate.

  • How can non-ELS RHEL3 users get the new CA SSL certificate and use up2date to apply the old errata?
