Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Is there any automated way available, to know the API hits to the Red Hat Satellite which will help to simplify/improve Satellite infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting?
  • Needs an automated way which can provide the information, similar to retrieving logs like date, source ip/address, UUID/hostname of source host/machine, type of request - GET/POST, rhsm/insights, type of cmd which triggered it e.g. yum, rhsm-debug, subscription-manager as shown below:
Exa: 192.168.xxx.xxx - - [21/Jul/2019:02:27:02 -0400] "GET /rhsm/consumers/xxxx/content_overrides HTTP/1.1" 200 1690 "-" "RHSM/1.0 (cmd=yum)"

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.4.
