Introduction

This policy guide explains the platforms on which Red Hat will support its customers' usage of the RHEL High Availability software. These policies relate to the usage of the specified platforms and architectures for the RHEL servers that operate as cluster members. Users of RHEL High Availability software components should adhere to these policies by installing only on the approved platforms in order to be eligible to receive assistance from Red Hat Support with the appropriate support subscriptions.

Policies

Supported architectures and platforms for RHEL High Availability members: Red Hat offers specific policies covering various individual architectures, platforms, and virtualization products in its collection of support policies. Those policy guides cover the conditions and limitations around Red Hat's support of those specific environments. Any architecture or platform that is not listed in Red Hat's overall set of policies are not supported by Red Hat.


Mixing of server architectures within a cluster: Red Hat does not provide support for clusters consisting of members operating on a mix of different architectures, such as a cluster with an x86_64 node and an x86 node.


Server/hardware models: Unless stated in other policy guides, Red Hat generally applies the RHEL support policy around hardware support to the RHEL High Availability Add-On.
