The Upstream URL does not use https protocol on Red Hat Satellite 6, while creating a custom repository in a product.

Issue

• Why the Upstream URL mentioned in the custom repository on a product created for puppet only considers http protocol even if we mention https?
• Unable to use the Upstream URL with https protocol in the following path:
  • On Red Hat Satellite GUI --> Content --> Products --> select product created for puppet modules --> Repositories --> New Repository --> after setting the Type to puppet the Upstream URL option is displayed.
