While installing i386 dbus package, it is conflicting with x86_64 dbus package.

Issue

  • While installing or updating i386 dbus package with "yum" command, the following error is displayed:
Transaction Check Error: 
  file /etc/dbus-1/system.conf from install of dbus-1.1.2-14.el5.i386 conflicts with file from package dbus-1.1.2-14.el5.x86_64

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 update 5 (and possibly earlier)
