How to perform a health check of the 3scale APIcast gateway?

Issue

• In order to enable SSL on Google Cloud when hosting 3scale APIcast gateway, Ingress needs to perform a health check on the port 8080 that will serve requests and get an HTTP response 200 from the container. Management API is working on a different port (8090), so it can't be used, and our own /ping endpoint can't be used either, since all the calls must be authenticated, and we have configured the gateway to accept the credentials in the header. Is there an alternative way to perform a health check on APIcast?
