Cluster nodes kernel panic after updating to RHEL 5.5

Issue

  • After updating cluster nodes to RHEL 5.5 they kernel panic while booting into the new kernel

  • After updating lvm2-cluster to version 2.02.56-7.el5, lvm commands fail with errors such as:

     cluster request failed: Invalid argument
      Can't get lock for <vg>
      Skipping volume group <vg>
      cluster request failed: Invalid argument
    

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.5

  • lvm2-cluster (clvmd)
