Is it possible to scrub only the used blocks of a sparse file in RHEL 6?
Issue
- With thousands of servers, as part of security requirements the data is stored in sparse files and needs to be scrubbed daily. If the
scrubutility had an option to scrub only used blocks of a sparse file that would save a tremendous amount of time.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
- scrub <= 2.2-1
