Yum Repository Configuration Helper
Yum is the primary tool to retrieve, install, delete, query, and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux RPM software packages. When a Red Hat Enterprise Linux machine is connected to the Internet, Yum can pull RPM packages from official Red Hat software repositories. If some machines are not connected to the Internet, use a local repository in your intranet managed by Red Hat Satellite or other products. The Yum Repository Configuration Helper offers an additional option.
The Yum Repository Configuration Helper sets up a simple Yum repository for the local machine or a small number of other machines to use. If a large number of machines using Red Hat Enterprise Linux are in use, or if additional flexibility or advanced features are required, use Red Hat Satellite or Subscription Asset Manager.
Based on your preferences, the Yum Repository Configuration Helper generates a script used to set up a local Yum repository and configure the machine to use it, or a script to set up a HTTP/FTP-based Yum repository and repository configuration (.repo) files, which are used to configure other machines to access the new Yum repository.

Log InDoes this (the .iso being loopback mounted) survive a reboot? I suspect not.
What you might want to look into is, after the loopback mount, go to the mount and do a:
find . -depth -print | cpio -dpmuv /usr/local/src/rhel-server-7.0-x86_64-dvd-expanded
then cd out of the mount and drop it, using the "-expanded" area for your repo base forever after.
If you don't like the option tree on cpio you could replace the whole find and cpio with
pax -rw . /usr/local/src/rhel-server-7.0-x86_64-dvd-expanded
Hi Scott,
cp $yumRepo $yumRepoBackup, is backing up the /etc/yum.repos.d/localrepo_RHEL7-7.0-Server.repo file, not the the content of ISO image, for this purpose just 'cp' is OK.
Have you encountered any problem when you execute this script? If so, I will be happy to help.

I have IBM z Systems RHEL instances. That architecture does not appear in the 'Architecture' drop-down menu. Please add it and notify me when it is ready. Thanks--Kyle Stewart

Hi, I need to access Red hat developer tool set. But when I try this using 'yum install devtoolset-3', I get an error saying 'No package devtoolset-3' available. Then I checked my subscription management list with the command 'subscription-manager list --available'. The message was, 'No available subscription pools to list'. Please kindly let me know how can I activate subscription management to access Red hat developer tool set.
Thank you!
