udev rules on scsi partitions for persistent device names no longer work in RHEL 5 and 6
Issue
- udev rules to bind specific scsi partitions to raw devices no longer work
- SCSI commands or utilities no longer work correctly on SCSI partition devices
- scsi_id against a partition does not return a result
- Receiving a superblock error after booting to RHEL 5.8 kernel for udev mount
