Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 でハートビートがタイムアウトした後に Emulex HBA がオフラインになります
Issue
- RHEL 5.4 にアップグレードしてから、lpfc ドライバーから "0459 Adapter heartbeat failure, taking this port offline" とエラーが報告され、その後 HBA がオフラインになります。デバイスおよびテストクラスターの両方でこの問題が発生します。また、スタンドアロンのプロダクション環境のマシンでもこの問題が見られます。
- すべてのパスが同時にオフラインになるとファイルシステムが読み取り専用でマウントされます。
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
- カーネルのバージョンが kernel-2.6.18-238.el5 未満
- lpfc モジュールのバージョンが 8.2.0.87.1p 未満 (以下のように、modinfo コマンドを使用すると lpfcのドライバーのバージョンを確認することができます)
$ modinfo lpfc | grep description description: Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel SCSI driver [lpfc driver version]
- 以下を含む Emulex HBA
- Emulex LPe11K HBA (ファームウェアのバージョン 2.82A3)
- ファイバーチャンネル: Emulex Corporation Zephyr LightPulse Fibre Channel Host Adapter (rev 02)
- 以下を含む SAN モデル
- VMAX のある EMC SYMMETRIX
