New Satellite 6.6 packages that enable integration with the Subscription Watch application at cloud.redhat.com.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update introduces the following feature:

• Users can manually install a new plug-in that sends inventory information to cloud.redhat.com, so that users can view a visual representation of the information in the Subscription Watch application. (BZ#1779175)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to install this plug-in only if they are are using the Subscription Watch application.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
