New java-1.8.0-oracle packages are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.
Description
The java-1.8.0-oracle package provides the Oracle Java 8 Runtime
Environment, and the java-1.8.0-oracle-devel package provides
the Oracle Java 8 Software Development Kit. The Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) contains the software and tools that users
need to run applets and applications written using the Java
programming language.
This update adds the java-1.8.0-oracle and related packages to Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6. (BZ#1138845)
Users who require Oracle Java 8 are advised to install these packages.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
